Rita Mitchell trained and worked as a designer colourist and her early experience in this has carried through into an abiding interest in the use of colour in her paintings. Rita has much experience in Art Publishing with annual publications in the form of calendars, cards and prints selling in leading highstreet department stores and stockists as well as tourist outlets. Her exhibitions of paintings in galleries have ranged from Lancashire to Nottingham and paintings feature in private collections in Australia, America and Japan.
